where's waldo?

The big day is definitely on the way. If you haven't finished shopping, do it quick and try to stay clear of the 'crabby' shoppers who are everywhere now. Try to make this Saturday a fun day without the commotion of going to the stores. Maybe spend some of the day making cookies, putting together and decorating a gingerbread house, watching Christmas movies as a family, have a cup of eggnog and just relax and enjoy it. We have a tradition of going out to eat (usually lunchtime) on Christmas Eve day, then at night we go to Church for the service and, as a family, hand out the little presents to the children at the Church. It's fun to carry on traditions from childhood and generations, but it is always special to come up with new ones that your children will enjoy and pass on to their future children .

Don't forget Holidays with the Animals! is at Cracker Box Palace Farm Animal Haven at Alasa Farms, 6450 Shaker Road in Alton, through January 1.

Sodus Chamber of Commerce will have its next meeting on Jan. 12 at Nick's Family Restaurant starting at 6 p.m. Call Mary Jane Mumby at 483.4067 for reservation. All general meetings are open to the public.
