Honor for Newark woman

Kristina VanNorman, daughter of Donna and Rick VanNorman of Newark, was named Counselor of the Year in New Port Richey, FL.

VanNorman was congratulated for 'dedication to her profession and her involvement in her professional organizations.'

She graduated from Edinboro University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Educational Psychology and Guidance.

VanNorman was given this award in the Pasco County Florida School System where she is a middle school counselor at River Ridge MS/HS.

She is the Secretary for the Pasco Counselors Association and editor of the Counselors Newsletter.
