New Year's Eve is right around the corner and, with it, the promises of new goals, beginnings and predictions. Time to put away the memories of 2005 and begin fresh. Of course, after writing 2005 for a whole year, it does take a considerable amount of time to remember to write the new year on the checks when you pay bills and at the grocery store check out. New Year's Eve can be spent with the kids right at home if you don't want to go out. There are a lot of fun things you can do with them so they enjoy the fun of bringing in the new year. You can hang up some curling ribbon, streamers and signs they can help make. A special dinner is fun. We usually start celebrating right after dinner. You can get movies (we start at 6 and each takes about 2 hours about) and my kids have it timed so the last one is seen just at ll:30 so we can watch the ball fall. Special food is fun - things you don't usually eat like chips and dips and sparkling cider or grape juice set on the table with fancy glasses for the big event. Noise makers are a must after the count down. I'm sure while you are out, you will see many fun ideas to use. House Decorations: Spread the holiday spirit and Christmas lights to your friends and neighbors. These homes are ready for the holidays!

On Tuesday there was a party in the Club house that we attended and had a very good time. Then on Christmas Eve, we were invited by Carol and Dick Natalie to attend a party at their condo. Another good time. On Christmas Day we had Micki and Ron Fagner from Lake Wales to our home for dinner. Another good time. A very busy week. Now I think we will rest up for a few days. Hope you also had a very nice Christmas. Ralph (You would never know he was in his 80s... so busy. Al Dobbin is another one. What kind of vitamins do they take?!) A quick and easy recipe from Betty Crocker herself. (How old must she be?) Microwave Ravioli Casserole Quick! This four-ingredient Italian main dish goes together in under 20 minutes. Diane Phillips (alias 'Granny Goodstory') is back and as good as new after an illness. We went over to see her the other day. She wanted to show us her new house in Webster and then her mom made us lunch. It was a fun and enjoyable afternoon. (Diane, we are so happy your health is back.) The kids are all enjoying their vacation time, college kids especially, since they have alot of time off. Parents are happy to have them all home but you do miss your routine and can't help but secretly wait patiently for things to get back to normal. Enjoy your time together it may be dragging now, but the years go by fast. Have fun on New Year's Eve whether you decided to go out or have fun at home as a family. If you have fun ideas you'd like to share, I'd love to hear from you: See you in 2006! Copyright
