Isabelle Bushart of the Marion Happy Travelers is announcing that she is not planning to organize any senior trips for this coming year.

February 15 - Marion Winter Sports Awards ceremony at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium and German Club Pasta Dinner from 5-7 p.m.

February 16 - Marion 8th grade planning night.

February 1, 1951Ten years ago, members of the Cherubim choir of the Presbyterian church are Lucinda Hance, Barbara Davis, Norman Lent, Mary Purchase, Robert Witter, Esther Brock, Roberta House, Violet Claeysen, Katherine Purchase, Alvin Brock, Ann Garlipp, Donna DeFisher, Tommy Garlipp, Roger Claeysen, Marjorie Vanderlinde, Carol Lent, Norma Ameele, Gordon Walker, directed by Mrs. Walter Brock, accompianied by Miss Ann DeRight.

The Marion Museum will have an exhibit entitled, 'Ice Harvesting as in Days Past' on Tuesday, February 15 from Noon until 3 p.m. 'Hastings Smith of Marion formed a large pond with an ice house adjacent. Providing ice used by Hessler Egg Company to cool eggs. Also distributing ice to residents.' George Shoales

The Wolfhangers planned a southernvacation on the occasion of Pam's retirement from the Marion library and her 60th birthday anniversary.

Florence DeNeering is now residing at Baywind, Apartment 59, 100 Kidd Castle, Webster, NY 14580.

The American Cancer Society is once again holding their annual Daffodil Sale in March 2005. Delivering dates in Marion is the week of March 15-18. Call 926.4436 with your order.

Sports Briefs:

The JV girls basketball team played host to Red Creek last night and earned a 56-19 victory. All Marion players scored in the win, with Linda Goodridge netting a game-high 16 points. Joelle Kearns added 13 points for the Lady Knights.

The JV girls basketball team defeated East Rochester, 63-33. Linda Goodridge led all scorers with 18 points. Tonya Iannello had her best offensive outing of the season sinking two 3 pointers and finishing with 13 points.

The girls 7th grade basketball team defeated Red Creek, 31-10.

The girls 8th grade basketball team defeated Red Creek, 46-10.

The girls varsity basketball team defeated East Rochester, 45-34. The team outscored their opponents, 15-3 in the 4th quarter erasing a 1 point deficit at the end of the 3rd quarter. The team was led by Roberta Rosen's 15 points and 12 rebounds followed by Krystal Adriaansen's 14 points.

Congratulations to the JV & Varsity Cheerleaders on the performance at the Wayne County Cheer Off on Jan. 22. Ashley Finley & Cindy Zalone earned first team all stars, and Aleasha Fox & Molly Perry earned 2nd team all stars.
