Babysitter training in Newark

The Wayne County Chapter of the American Red Cross will be offering a Babysitter's Training course on Saturday, March 5 from 9 to 5 at Park Presbyterian Church in Newark.

The course gives youths ages 11 to 15 the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or guardians. This training will help participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism; basic care; safety and safe play; and First Aid.

Lunch will be provided. Food, beverages, snacks, and equipment have been donated by Mark's Pizzeria in Newark, Breen's IGA in Palmyra, McDonalds in Newark, and Rent-A-Center in Newark.
