Barrett announces candidacy

Local attorney Dan Barrett will seek support at the coming Republican Caucus, facing off with incumbent Newark Village Justice V. Bruce Chambers.

Barrett is currently the acting Village Justice and has served as such for the past six years. He has also been a Municipal Board member for the past seven years. He has practiced law in Newark for 26 years and previously served as a Wayne County Assistant District Attorney for nine and 1/2 years.

Caucus will be held Thursday, January 20 at the Newark High School Cafeteria at 7 p.m.
