The alarm went out at 2:45 this afternoon for a fire at the Newark home of Frank Russell. Thirty five firefighters from the Newark Volunteer Fire Dept., the Lyons Fire Dept. and the Port Gibson Dept. were at the scene, and although the fire was out within 45 minutes, some firemen remain at the 401 Bailey Lane residence.

Police Chief Richard Bogan and the Wayne County Fire Investigation Team are also there at this time.
