Drama group forming in Sodus

The Spirit of Grace Fellowship church is starting a drama group. The purpose of the group is to glorify Christ using the arts. The group hopes to present sketches, plays and street drama in Sodus.

They are looking for actors, writers, stagehands, or anyone interested in drama. The group is open to teenagers, adults and preteens. It is open to those with past experience as well as to those with an interest in theater, hoping to develop their talents.

Individuals need not attend the Spirit of Grace Fellowship church to be a part of this group; it is open to the community.

The first meeting of the group will be Friday, January 14, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the church, located at the old American Legion on Maple St., across from Poppy's Pizza. Starting in February, practices will be held twice a month, on the second and fourth Fridays of the month from 7-8:30.

The Spirit of Grace Fellowship is a non-denominational church that holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. and Thursdays at 7 p.m. The church also has men's and women's groups that meet at the church on a weekly basis, and a youth group that meets on the first and third Fridays of the month.
