Martin Luther King Day March

The 2005 Wayne County Martin Luther King Day celebration will begin in Lyons at noon, with a march from the village square to Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church at the corner of Spencer and Holley streets. The march will be followed by a ceremony honoring Dr. King, featuring a community choir. Awards will be given to recognize the contributions of outstanding youth and adults within the past year. The service will be followed by a dish-to-pass meal at 3 p.m. to which all are invited.
