Hospital has volunteer opportunities

Newark Hospital has volunteer opportunities for you. If you would like to make new friends, develop new skills, or if you are a retiree or have extra time on you hands, volunteering at the Hospital is the right opportunity for you.

Volunteers are needed for the Gift Shop, in offices, in the DeMay Living Center, in the mailroom, and in other departments of the hospital. A health screening and all necessary training are provided. Volunteers receive a free beverage each time they serve and credit towards a meal if they work four hours or more at one time.

More than 200 volunteers and Auxilians currently work to support the programs and services of Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. They have been active at the hospital since its opening in 1957.

Call Carole Nary, Volunteer Coordinator, at 332.2273.
