June is National Dairy Month. An average dairy cow produces 90 glasses of milk a day.

Old and new friends and family including brother-in-law, Rog., stopped by the museum on May 30 - before the parade. Subjects discussed were ice harvesting, outhouses, quilting, service men, Marion bands and more. Next scheduled museum opening is on Flag Day, June 14, when we will have a decorated picnic table to view. Come by between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m.

When did Marion school children discontinue placing geraniums on the graves of Veterans in the Marion Cemetery?

What happened to the old Heritage Lilacs from behind Jennie's House?

The latest acquisition at the Marion Museum is an antique chest that was originally sent to the Goossen and Steyart Store in downtown Marion. It no doubt contained Good Year - Women's Petite gloves - from Glove Brand, Naugatuck, Connecticut, as it is printed on the sides of this wooden box. This hump-back top gift was given by Neil and Janice Petty and was once covered in floral material when it was Nellie's (Neil's mother) Hope Chest. Thank you!

Emily Estochen, daughter of Bob and Laurie Estochen, has arrived safely for her assignment, working with the African Inland Mission.
