Meeting and book review June 9 in Newark

Newark Arcadia Historical Society will meet June 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the museum on High Street.

Historian, writer, and Historical Society member Annette Harris will review her book, World War II Prisoner of War Camps in Wayne County and Their Prisoners. She will discuss the former Washington High School, used as prisoner of war camp. Copies of the book will be available for $9.

Harris is a past trustee of the AHS and member of the exhibits committee. She is the President of the Lyons Heritage Society.
