Lyons Library marks 50 years

The Lyons Public Library is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

The week of June 20, the library will be sponsoring a trivia contest about its history with the winner receiving a basket of items donated by library trustees. Answers to the trivia contest may be found on the librarys website, in its brochure and annual report as well as within the library itself.

The library will also hold a coloring contest for children and will be passing out 50th anniversary mints at the front desk. The trivia questionnaire as well as the coloring page may be picked up at the front desk of the library.

All entries for both contests must be in by June 25. A more extended celebration will take place the week of August 22-27. For more information, call the library at 946.9262.
