To Locks of Love Brenna Raes, Kathy Beltrone, and Mackenzie Sturtz Last week, good friends Brenna Raes and Mackenzie Sturtz of Marion, got new short haircuts and donated their hair to 'Locks of Love.' Brenna and Mackenzie are fourth graders at Marion Elementary School and are Girl Scouts in Girl Scout Troop 212. Kathy Beltrone, the owner of Kutz Hair Salon in Marion, donated the haircuts and is willing to do so for anyone who wants to donate their hair to Locks of Love. Donated hair must be at least 10 inches long and is cut in a ponytail. The Locks of Love organization will use the girls' donated hair to create wigs for children who have lost their hair due to serious illness. This is Brenna's first donation to Locks of Love and Mackenzie's second. The girls have been growing their hair for awhile, because they wanted to help other children. Brenna and Mackenzie also want to thank Kathy Beltrone of Kutz for donating her time and their great haircuts.
