Old Greeting Cards - There has been a request from the Macedon Legion Auxiliary for old greeting cards such as Valentines, Christmas, Easter, any kind of greeting card. They will be recycled at the Post Home, 76 Main Street, Macedon from 2-9 p.m. (daily except Sunday).

Get-well wishes go to Ginny Christianson who is favoring a broken arm.

March 9 - Service of prayers for crops and industry at 7:30 p.m. at East Palmyra Christian Reformed Church.

Reserve Your Ticket - Great food and dancing to a live Irish Band will be the order of the day on March 12, at St. Anne's Church Hall in Palmyra. Tickets are $8 and $10. 6:30 p.m. dinner; music starts at 8 p.m. Tickets available from Donna Camblin or at St. Anne's or St. Gregory's churches.

March 4 - Family Rollerskating sponsored by the PTA from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Marion Elementary School gym. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Rev. Dr. Fred Coisman, pastor at large at the Second Reformed Church, presented the morning worship service on February 27.

March 10 - PTA meeting at 7 p.m. in the Elementary School faculty room.

March 11, 1899 - William collier of East Williamson announced that he will soon be through with his tin cart and all are asked to save rags, rubbers, bones and metals for which he will pay the highest market price.

John and Eileen Ballesty are back home after a month in Las Vegas, where they enjoyed the sun and the warmth. They spent a weekend in Laughlin, Nevada, where they met with family and friends from Los Angeles. They had a wonderful visit to the 'Old London Bridge' in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Donna Hyler and Craig Sewert, Grand Officers of the Order of the Eastern Star in Wayne County, held a 'School of Instruction' at Palmyra Lodge on Feb. 26. It was an interesting meeting culminating with a luncheon enjoyed by all.

'If you have melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating it too slowly!'

March 11 - Roast beef supper at Legion Post Home on Witherden Road at 5 p.m.

Easter Plants Honor Military - This year we would like to honor our military service men and women on Easter Sunday. Make a donation marked 'plants for military' and include the soldier's name. Their names will be placed on Easter lilies adorning the altars at St. Anne's and St. Gregory's Easter Masses. Questions, call Kathy Weeks at 926.4323.

Chicken & biscuit family-style dinner is 4-7 p.m., March 5 (tomorrow) at Walworth Methodist Church. $7/$5. Take-outs available; homemade pies.

Family Reconciliation Service - 6:30-7:30 p.m., March 16 at St. Gregory's. You are invited to come celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation as a family or just help the little ones say they're sorry.

A dozen Red Hat ladies of the 'Tulip' group gathered at the home of Mary Jane Ware on Marion on February 27. Delicious hors d' oeuvres were followed by a dinner including desserts. The recipes were international, the choice of the cook. Everyone enjoyed watching a movie on the widescreen, following dinner.
