Leader of the Pack is the story of Ellie Greenwich as a songwriter and as a person. Through out the musical are songs you all know, Hanky Panky, Chapel of Love, Leader of the Pack and many more.

 The musical begins in the 1950s with Ellie as a teenage member of the 'Jivettes,' with dreams of making it big in the music business. After finishing school, she heads to the Big Apple and lands a job as a songwriter.

Nicole Savage, Kevin Coons, Marie Savage, Liesel Stoep are pictured; Alicia Seiling is cast as Ellie Greenwich in the 1980s; at the piano is Alexa Leo, Ellie Greenwich in the 1960s.

Ellie meets and falls in love with a songwriter, Jeff Barry. They marry and become a song-writing team.

At the top of their careers in the 1960s, Jeff feels Ellie should concentrate of their home life and not on music. Marital problems result in divorce, throwing her life into a tailspin. But, back in the 1980s, she is in complete control of her life and is back to her first love, writing hit songs.

This toe tapping musical is being performed at the Lyons Middle/High School. March 18 and 19 at 7:30 and a 2 p.m. show Sunday, March 20.

Reserved seating is $7; adult general admission is $5; student and senior citizen general admission is $4. Tickets are $1 more the day of the show.
