Sodus Boys push forward in championships

The Sodus Spartans will advance to the Class C Final Four New York State basketball championships in Glen's Falls Friday after defeating Silver Creek of Buffalo, Section VI on Saturday at the Blue Cross Arena. The final score was 67-49.

Sodus led after the first period and held a 29-16 lead at halftime. The 25-0 Spartans were led offensively by Robert McDowell (20 points), with Greg Logins adding 16 and Johnny McCray adding 15.

It is the first time Sodus has ever reached the Final Four in their school history. They are currently ranked number two in the state in Class C this year.

The Sodus Spartans Emanual Reaves scored eight points in the Sodus win over Silver Creek.

Sodus fans are all cheers after victory.
