The Spring Fling is made up of twenty-two participating stores and shops who welcome guests with many fine gift ideas, nice conversation and refreshments. When you walk into the first shop, you receive a sheet telling of all the place that are participating , on the sheet is a map and this is where you would get your first stamp. The Spring Fling went on for three days. We attended just Sunday. After you have attended and collected 22 stamps, you would be eligible to win a $l90 gift basket. 2nd prize is when you have collected 20 stamps on your sheet and are eligible to win a $150 gift basket and 3rd prize is after you have attended eighteen shops, gotten your stamps, which makes you eligible to win a $l00 basket.

The first shop we went to was one Rhonda DeCann said we had to go to which was My Sister's Side Door (on Main Street in Sodus). And it is just that, around the corner with a cute entranceway to a side door. Inside, we found one of the owners of the shop, Cindy Gilchrist. We didn't see Pamela Wren. The shop is filled with so many wonderful smells, and each shop had refreshments to make their visitors feel more welcome. The ladies had a snack which Rhonda said we had to have - chocolate-dipped pretzels. The pretzels are from Angelic Gourmet, a wonderful combination of sweet with the salty.

Heluva Good Cheese had a cute tropical/summery looking display table with many samples of dips and cheeses to be tried. Heluva Good has a new Spring/Summer Dip out now that we were able to sample. It's their 5 Onion Dip - a combination of red onions, shallots, chives, onions and leeks. The shop is always cute and the summery displays were welcoming. On the way out, we noticed a snack called Worms and Dirt - just something a child would love to sink their teeth into. And of course, there was the cute little guy with the beard. What is his name?

spring fling Our last stop was in Sodus Point at a cute place called Bay Haven on Greig Street. A cute shop owned by Rosemary Murphy. The shop was nicely laid out with many different types of gift ideas. Another lady does the painting of cute little sea horses on magazine holders and children playing on the beach on a rocking chair, to name a couple. She is talented. It's the type of shop that is laid out so neatly you aren't afraid to bump into anything. There are wonderful lighted fountains that seem to have steam coming off the side of them. They had a lot of beautiful items.

Though we didn't get to go inside a few, we did take pictures. The L.W. Emporium is always so much fun to take pictures of around the outside of the building with all the wood carved statues. The bird houses and ponds are so cute.

We enjoyed ourselves and hopefully, will be able to attend the Fall Fling that could be coming our way. It was a fun way to bring in Spring and will be a fun way to celebrate Fall as well.
