Plant Sale at Cooperative Extension

The volunteer Master Gardeners of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Wayne County are sponsoring their 14th Annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 7 from 8 to noon at the Extension Office, corner of Route 88 North and Hydesville Road in Newark.

Sale items will include a wide selection of herbs, annuals, perennials and vegetable transplants, nursery specimens, groundcovers, and geraniums.

This will be a great opportunity for homeowners to obtain top quality plants at great prices. Master Gardeners will assist with plant selections and cultural advice representative of your garden area.

The sale proceeds will go toward improvement of the consumer horticulture program, to update and increase educational resource material and to develop classes available to all Wayne County individuals.

Pancake breakfast

The 4-H Teen Exchange will have a pancake breakfast from 7 to 10, and 4-H members will be holding the Produced in New York contest from 10:30 until 2.
