Church plans family fair in Newark

The Newark Assembly of God is kicking off the 'Hugging our Community' season with a free fun fair on Sunday, May 15 in Central Park, from 2-6 p.m.

This will be the first of several fairs this summer in Newark. There will a food court with free beverage, popcorn, snow cones, and cotton candy.

Four game tents will be available for all ages. Simple prizes will given out at each of the game tents. There will be a Registration Tent where you will have to sign in to get your punchable food court ticket for each family member. This ticket will be punched for each item of food requested.

The churches' praise band will provide contemporary music that will get your feet tapping! Children's stories will be read and there will be a chance for all to participate in what should be a truly fun-filled event for all attendees. Come out and join with your neighbors at what should be an event that strengthens our sense of family and being connected to our great village. It's our way of 'hugging our community.'
