Adult CPR/AED course offered

The Wayne County Chapter American Red Cross will be offering an Adult CPR/Automated External Defibrillator class on Wednesday, May 25 from 5:30-9:30.

A review class for previously certified individuals will be held on Friday, June 3 from 6-9 p.m. to renew certification. Both classes will be held at 165 East Union Street in Newark.

The purpose of the Adult CPR/AED course is to give individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for breathing emergencies, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest. Individuals who pass this training will receive a certification valid for one year.

Class sizes are limited. For more information and costs associated with these trainings or to register, please call the Wayne County Chapter, 331.3783.
