Barnard group does 'Operation Gratitude'

Mike Barnard Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep of Newark is showing support for U.S. troops overseas by designating themselves as the official drop-off point for Operation Gratitude until May 31.

This is a non-profit organization that allows the community to show their appreciation and lets troops know that the American public supports them.

With the post-911 security measures prohibiting people from sending packages addressed 'to any U.S. soldier,' Mike Barnard and Operation Gratitude are giving you the chance to 'Fill up the Grand Cherokee' with small comfort items such as prepaid international phone cards, candy, Girl Scout cookies, novelty T-shirts, baseball caps, lip balm, powdered cold beverages, energy bars, moist towelettes, letters of appreciation, and additional items that are precious to our troops.

Operation Gratitude also distributes items to the children and adults in the local cities and villages where they are serving.

In support of May being designated Military Appreciation Month, Mike Barnard Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep is offering an additional $500 cash allowance on the purchase or lease of any Jeep vehicle to all Veterans, current and retired military personnel, civil service workers, and their immediate family members through May 31.
