Visiting the Sodus Free Library
The large stuffed frog sitting on the floor next to a pond rug just waits for a child's imagination and to come play. It would be a fun place for a story-time (not everyday you hear a story while sitting in the water and not get wet). The cozy reading area with the cushy chairs and fireplace just beg you to bring in the books you just picked up and begin reading them. Carol is always so sweet and shared her picture of her new granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth, with us. (Of course, Gramma is thrilled and can't wait to go to Illinois soon to see her.) Poor Carol is trying to get rid of a cold that just wants to hang on. A nice, warm, tropical place would take right care of that for her. Or maybe just some consistent sunshine and warm weather here would be a help . The Library hours are:
Sunday 2-4 Weekly Story hours are every Monday from l0:30-ll:30. Books Sandwiched In features a variety of topics and is held twice in the Spring and twice in the Fall. The Summer Reading Programs are always fun and registration is in early July The Sodus Free Library's mission is to serve people of all ages, provide materials, programs, information and services to meet the communities needs. I think they do a really good job of it. As they say, reading is fundamental. (See? The word 'fun' is right a the beginning.) Copyright
