Shoepeg Salad

Two cans shoepeg corn - drained
1/4 cup diced onion
1/2 cup diced red pepper
1/2 cup diced green pepper
one stalk celery
2 T. mayo
salt and pepper to taste.

Combine - chill overnight.

Jim and David Klaver planned a celebration for Mildred Klaver's 90th Birthday. The gathering was held at the Bee Skep Cafe on May 22. 100 people attended to wish her well and a 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY.'

Cleall Johnson is back home recuperating from knee surgery.

Pam Wolfanger fell and fractured her upper arm.

Sue and Paul Devlin entertained with a family picnic on May 14, in honor of their daughter, Jen's graduation from SUNY Brockport; she earned her degree in Criminal Justice.

Esther Deys is at home following heart surgery.

Pearl Dey is residing at the Drumlin Estates on Sunset Drive, Marion.

In a paper dated March 17, 1863, we find the following interesting advertisement: 'D.M. Eddy still continues the cabinet business at his old stand on Main Street where the public can always find a large assortment of bureaus, chairs, bedsteads, picture frames, cribs, coffins, etc. Special inducements are offered to those who are just commencing their career of domestic felicity.'

Elementary School Memorial Day Ceremony (May 30) 1:20 p.m. at the Marion Cemetery. Parade at 11, museum opens at 10 a.m.
