Happenings There is a Veterans display at the museum, to honor all vets; November 11, Friday, is Veterans Day. Salvation Army Bell Ringers needed for two-hour shifts. Now that the rush is over, and before the holidays are upon us, I am back working on my program of Sears Well-Bilt homes. Do you know of any homes and would you be willing to take pictures of the interior of your home? It is a fascinating project! Examine a fallen leaf and you'll see a tiny picture of the tree that produced it. The pattern of a tree's branches closely mimics the veins in its leaves. Bill and Barb DeWandel spent three days at Niagara Falls, Canada with their grandsons, Aidan and Brian Ballesty. They saw the kick-off of the Christmas Holiday Festival of Lights. They witnessed the throwing of the switch of the lights for the festivities to begin. They also saw the Christmas parade and fireworks display. Our friend Autumn Kubissa is presently residing at the Armstrong Senior Living in Newark. The flag at Jennie's House, downtown, is missing. If you're looking for figurines or anything else for your holiday decorating or gift giving, stop in and look around Williamson Hardware! The pantry operates every Thursday, 6-7 p.m., and Saturday, 9-10 a.m. Most volunteers work four to six times a year. We can accommodate anyone's schedule and substitutes are available. Refreshments, Door Prizes, Free gift with purchase. Richards Chapter OES participated in a 'Wine Tasting' spaghetti supper sponsored by the Masons. The OES initiated Connie Bruni of Marion. The newest member, Karen Boynton of Newark, who joined by affiliation at the previous meeting, took part in the ceremony. Bruce DePew, District Grand Lecturer, made his first Official Visit. Members decided that the Cheer Fund will be donated to the Veterans Fund.
