Dulcimer concert to benefit Habitat Celebrated hammered dulcimer performer Dan Duggan will perform in concert on Sunday, November 20 at 7 p.m. in the Red Creek High School Auditorium. This family-oriented event is open to the public. Admission is $5 and all proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Wayne County. This nationally known artist and teacher will play renditions of traditional Irish and American melodies, many of his own compositions, and holiday favorites as well. Dan's wife Peggy Lynn will accompany him on guitar and concertina. Habitat for Humanity of Wayne County is an ecumenical Christian organization whose goal is to eliminate substandard housing by providing simple, decent, affordable housing for God's people in need. Twenty-two homes have been built in Wayne County since 1988, with at least one additional location planned for next year. Labor to build these homes is primarily volunteered and building materials are often contributed at cost. Fundraisers, like this concert, help raise money to offset building-related expenses.
