Nominate a Woman of Excellence

The Girl Scouts - Seven Lakes Council is accepting nominations for its 'Salute to Women of Excellence,' showcasing women from its 13-county jurisdiction.

The ceremony where the Women of Excellence are recognized is scheduled for July. For a nomination form or more information, call 315.539.5085, ext. 721; or go on-line at

The form is available on a link from the home page. Deadline for nominations is December 1.

Women can be nominated for their professional or community and volunteer efforts. Those honored do not have to be Girl Scout members, but should be role models for the Girl Scout mission: Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Girl Scouting helps cultivate values, social conscience and self-esteem in young girls, while teaching them critical life skills that will enable them to succeed as adults. Girl Scouts - Seven Lakes Council, Inc. serves over 10,000 and is a United Way agency.
