Lyons Civic Club receives grant

The Robert G. Boehmler Community Foundation recently awarded the Lyons Civic Club a $500 grant to help fund the publication of a Lyons history book. The book will be published in 2006, the 175th anniversary of the incorporation of the Village of Lyons (1831).

Former Lyons resident, Boehmler, established his foundation to support education in the communities in which he lived and worked. A music teacher in the Palmyra-Macedon School district for many years, Boehmler died in 1998.
