Winter Reading Program in Newark The Newark Public Library is turning into a reading wonderland by offering a Winter Reading Program. Children ages 3-18 are invited to snuggle up with a good book this winter and win prizes beginning December 1, through March 31st. The objective of the Winter Reading Program is to increase the motivation and enthusiasm of Newark's children and teens to read more during the long winter months. Nine Pines Country Store is sponsoring this fun and free program. Events and activities have been scheduled. The library's Teen Spot offers a great retreat for teens looking to get out of the cold. Games and music CDs are available for use to teens that would like to hang out with friends. Skate into the Childrens Room or Teen Spot today to pick up your W-I-N-T-E-R or S-N-O-W reading sheet and a calendar of events. Call Chris at the library, 331.4370, for more info. Copyright
