Red Cross needs blood & disaster volunteers

The Wayne County Chapter of the American Red Cross is seeking volunteers to work in our Blood and Emergency Services departments. Volunteers will be working out of the Newark Chapter House.

The Red Cross has a need for a volunteer Blood Coordinator who would be responsible for scheduling canteen volunteers, working with the NYPENN Blood Region, and with local sponsors to ensure that blood drives are running smoothly. No experience is necessary.

If you have a few hours a week and want to be involved please call 331.3783 and ask to speak with the Executive Director James Love.

The Chapter is also looking for a volunteer ho would like to become involved in our Emergency Services department as a volunteer office Case Worker. The Chapter averages about thirty cases a year between disaster assistance, FEMA assistance, and Project Share programs.
