'Our Town' at Newark High this weekend

Mike Wildey The Newark High School Drama Club will present Thornton Wilder's Our Town, October 21 and 22 at 8 p.m. and October 23 at 2, in the High School Auditorium. Tickets are $6 and will be sold in the lobby.

Our Town is an American Classic that tells the story of the life and love of two young people at the beginning of the last century. In this production the Stage Manager, who narrates the play, is played by Mike Wildey (pictured).

The two lovers George and Emily are portrayed by Jake Mattison and Aubrey Bendix, with their parent played by Conor Healy, Susannah Hallagan, Mark Chamberlin and Anne Monahan. Others in the cast include Alyssa Seely, Scooter Rosenthal, Kristin McCormack, Ryan Ford, Sebastian Culbertson, Karen DeWeaver, Holly O'Neill, Joe Sullivan, Emily Cornwell, Adolfo Arango, Geoff Nassimos, Phil Milner, Alayna Ruffalo, Nora VanLiew and Kelsey Milner. The entire production is directed by Steve Duprey.

The student stage manager and sound operator is Chris Pedersen; Asst. Stage Manager Lisa Verplank; Light Board Operator Sidney Pruitt; Hair and make-up by Ms. Rusco's cosmetology class; Lighting assistant Ben Duprey; Poster design by Mary Clark.
