Health screenings Saturday in Newark & Sodus

Newark-Wayne Hospital, in conjunction with the Newark Rotary Club, is planning a health screening for Saturday, October 22.

This will take place at Newark and at the Myers Laboratory in Sodus.

The Newark health screen will take place from 6-10 a.m. in the cafeteria, Driving Park Avenue, Newark.

The Myers health screen is from 7:30-10:30 a.m. in the Myers Laboratory in the Medical Office Building, 6692 Middle Road, Suite 1100.

This is a great opportunity for individuals to obtain a preliminary review of their general health status through a variety of blood tests including liver, kidney, metabolic, lipid, and hematological functions.

A range of 26 different blood tests will be performed to evaluate your health. Test results will be forwarded to the person and his/her physician. The cost for the screening is $20. There is an additional $10 charge for males who choose to have the test to screen for prostate cancer, (PSA).

Participants in the screening must fast from all food and drink, except water, for ten hours prior to their blood draw. Refreshments will be provided. Advance registration is required and can be done by contacting the Newark Hospital Laboratory at 332.2211, Monday - Friday between 9 and 5.
