Antique Show & Sale this weekend Wayne County Antique Dealers' Association's show and sale is October 29 (10 to 5) and October 30 (10 to 4), at Williamson High School.Fifty dealers will be participating from five counties. Admission is $3. Food will be available. Expert restoration of glass, china, porcelain and gold leaf frames will be provided by The Dropped Shop all weekend. Appraisals will be conducted on Sunday only, from 12-3 p.m. John DeVolder will appraise antiques for a fee of $3 per item, with a limit of two per person. John Westerberg will appraise books, prints and historic paper for $4 per item (no limit). A special book signing will take place Saturday only, from 10-12, by Catherine Dippo and Janet Speary Dippo on their new book, Emmons Fashion Magic Jewelry. Emmons jewelry was headquartered in Newark from 1948-1983. The Dippos are originally from Palmyra. The show offers a wide variety of antiques and collectibles including furniture, post cards, Americana, local collectibles, jewelry, tools, clocks, glass, china, stoneware, toys, lamps, advertising items, country antiques, bottles and much more. (Lunch and refreshments will be available, provided by the Williamson High School Class of 2007, with all proceeds to finance class activities.)
