Musical fundraiser in Lyons A special all-day musical festival will be held Sunday, September 18 at Tom Jones in Lyons. Six area bands will take the stage from 2 p.m. to help raise election campaign funds for fellow musician Larry Quinn, who will take the stage in a reunion of The Society. Currently the Sole Assessor for the Town of Arcadia, Quinn is running for Wayne County Clerk in November. In the late 1960s and early 70s, Quinn played bass guitar with The Society. The band has done several reunion performances throughout the summer, and will end their reunion season with this event. The music will start at 2 p.m. with Rock Slide, followed at about 3 by local country favorites, Natural Image. At approximately 4, the acoustic trio TOFU will take the stage, followed by The Society. At about 6, Double Vision will perform, followed by The Nu Band. (All times are approximate.) There will be food and drink specials and a $5 cover at the door. Copyright
