Lyons girls help younger Scouts

girl scoutsTraditionally, older Girl Scouts work with the younger Girl Scouts, helping them and encouraging them in their growth toward their next step in Girl Scouting. The Lyons Junior Girl Scout troop 215 is no exception. Recently, Junior Girl Scout Troop 215 invited the Lyons Daisy Girl Scout Troop 441 ( kindergarten-aged girls) to attend a Junior Girl Scout Troop meeting. At the meeting, the Daisy and Junior Girl Scouts worked on a project together. They participated in the Girl Scout Promise and closed with the circle of friendship and the friendship squeeze.

Parents, if your daughter will be attending kindergarten this fall and is interested in being a Daisy Girl Scout, call Laurie Long at 946.6146. Starting this month, meetings are held twice a month from 6-7 p.m.
