Happenings Fall Festival Day, September 10, the Marion Museum will be open at 9 for those who wish to visit our 6 rooms of unique displays and exhibits. Across Main St., the lovely old home, destined to be Marion's future museum will be open for a tour. Volunteers have been busy creating a comfortable setting in the fireplace room that you will want to be sure to see. Many plans are being discussed and considered for the remaining empty room. Special thanks go to those who worked to create a comfortable setting in the fireplace room at 'Jennie's House'- Barb & Bill DeWandel, Jane Ballesty, Paul and Sue Devlin, and Jen and Justin, Priscilla Flack, Gordon Adriaansen, Diane VanLare, John Lonneville, Brian and Jill Adriaansen and Craig and Derek, Hunneybears, Greg Adriaansen, Eddie Almekinder and Sierra, Linda Roeland, Tom Hunter and Vinnie Trenchard. It could not have been accomplished without you!! I'm sure you will want to support all of the local establishments and food booths at the festival. The Legion Roast Beef supper is this evening, Sept. 9. September 3, 1925: Dedication exercises for the new high school building will take place in the high school auditorium on Tuesday, September 8. Some fine speakers have been secured for the occasion. Mildred Leenhouts continues therapy at the Wayne County Nursing Home. Sue Bliek Stresing is visiting family and friends in Marion from her home in Mentor, Ohio. 'Happy Birthday' to Edna Lonneville on September 10. Did you know? It takes about 36 apples to create one gallon of apple cider. September 15: Marion PTA meeting at 7 p.m. in the Elementary School Auditorium. Copyright
