Newark Salon wins Beautification Award

Lisa Ruffalo Herman of Moda-Lisa Hair Salon, 622 South Main St. Newark is this year's recipient of the Civic Beautification Award from the Newark Garden Club. Shown with her is Allie Doyle, representing the Newark Garden Club.

 Herman's property was chosen for the award because of the time and effort she puts in to keep her business, which is on one of Newark's main thoroughfares, in beautiful shape.

'She shows pride in her village, and we are proud of her, ' Doyle said.
