Lyons Heritage Society plans events

Lyons Heritage Society will be at the Lyons Farmers' Market on September 17. Along with Lyons coverlets, Hotchkiss commemorative tea towel, Leman's Gourmet Mints, Hotchkiss historical booklets and peppermint sticks, the Society will hold a sale of homemade baked goods.

There will also be signed copies of the book World War II Prisoner of War Camps in Wayne County, New York And Their Prisoners written by Lyons Heritage member Annette Harris available for purchase. The Society will receive a portion of the sales from the book.

The Heritage Society will begin its season with a meeting on September 19 at in the Hotchkiss Building at 95 Water Street, Lyons. There will be a potluck supper at 6. Members are asked to bring table service and a dish to pass. Beverages will be provided.

The program will consist of a 'Show and Tell.' Members should bring an historical item relating to the Village or Town of Lyons.

Current Inc. Christmas catalogs with sales order sheets will be distributed to members.
