Local DAR meets tomorrow

The Col. Wm. Prescott Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet September 21 at the Chapter house, 119 High Street, Newark. The Board will meet at 10, regular business meeting at 11, lunch at noon, program at 1 p.m.

This is Constitution Week and a celebration for all Americans. There will be a brief presentation 'Memorial Continental Hall 100 Years of History.'

The program will feature guest speaker Jane Buell, speaking about 'Brain Drain-Use it or lose it.' This fun-filled presentation offers a variety of activities that will keep your brain going at full speed. Take a trip down memory lane, play bingo (with a different twist), find out more about your 'sweet' personality. etc. Come 'jog your noggin' and have some FUN!

The hostesses are Rosalyn Keifer and Jane DeCracker of Lyons.

Please note: September 22-25, 2005 the 109th New York State Conference of the NSDAR will convene at the Hyatt Hotel, Rochester. Historic Nuggett: In 1905, the American flag had 45 stars. Arizona, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Hawaii, and Alaska hadn't been admitted to the Union yet.
