August 18, 1932: At a special meeting of Marion Central School a budget of $29,000 was approved. A resolution was presented and approved that in as much that the school taxes have become a burden that the teachers should return to the board 10 percent of their salaries for the coming year. Gillette will be attending the Marion Senior Citizens Club meeting on Tuesday, September 27. He'll explain the State prescription plan EPIC (Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage).
