Order 'Food Sense' in Newark

Newark Rotary has enhanced services for the Food Sense Program. If you are a shut-in unable to pick up food due to age, disability, or an on-going transportation issue, Rotary has a solution. Please call Melissa to find out more details.

Food Sense is available to everyone everywhere! You don't have to live in Newark to purchase food from Food Sense. Give Food Sense a try for April! Food Sense offers the opportunity to stretch your food budget by purchasing food at a discount. Everyone is eligible to purchase food from Food Sense. No donated food is used in this program. It's a buying club, so there is no income requirement.

The cost per unit is $15.50 and this includes 10-14 food items including fresh fruits & vegetables, meats and grocery staples. Additional specials are available for an additional cost.

Order dates for the April delivery will be as follows: Monday-Friday from 9 to 4 up to April 10 at 10 a.m.

Ordering will take place at Excel Staffing, 165 E. Union St., Newark, on the 3rd floor. Cash, Money Orders, Food Stamps, and Vouchers are accepted. Food will arrive at Cornell Cooperative Extension on April 20 between 3 and 5:30 p.m.
