Exotic landscapes at Williamson Library

Nature lovers will enjoy the next Program Sandwiched In on Wednesday, April 19, sponsored by the Friends of the Williamson Public Library. Kent and Sandy Woodard traveled to the Galapagos Islands and Ecuador to witness some of the earth's most diverse and fascinating wildlife. Ecuador is the smallest country in the rugged Andean highlands, and has an array of vibrant indigenous cultures, well-preserved colonial architecture, volcanic landscapes and dense rainforest. The Galapagos Islands are famous for unique animals like the giant Galapagos tortoises, prehistoric marine iguanas and tiny penguins. The Woodards will share their pictures and experiences and allow their audience to journey with them to a strange and exotic land.

The program begins at noon in the Community Room of the Williamson library and is free and open to all. An optional lunch is available by making a reservation at 589.2048 by 8 p.m. Monday.
