Rug hooking, rag weaving in Newark Rug Hooking is on the agenda, the third Thursday of the month, at Alex Eligh Community Center in Newark from 6 to 9 p.m. Next event is April 20. Nine Pines Country Store is hosting a Rag Weaving Class at the Alex Eligh Community Center from 6 to 9 p.m. on April 20. If you are interested in learning how to rag weave, stop by the store for the materials list and to see a sample of a finished item. Weaving looms are available at Nine Pines, 7555 Jackson Hill Road.
