'Robbery & Murder' at museum Friday night Robbery and Murder is the next topic of History at Night Some of the most exciting new research on a little-known robbery and murder will be unveiled at the Museum of Wayne County History this Friday (April 21) at 7 p.m. Sergeant Steve Sklenar of the Wayne County Sheriff's Department will reveal the details of his findings at the program. One hundred years ago, a gang - with similarities to Bonnie and Clyde - was robbing banks in the eastern United States. This notorious group was led by Big Ed Kelly. The gang's attempts to rob the bank in Sodus were foiled, and a police officer was shot and killed. The gang fled, but Wayne County law enforcement tracked them down. Find out what happened at this exciting presentation. This free lecture will be the first to be held in the museum's new Educational Resource Center, which was made possible through member donations and generous contributions from Kathi & Kent Marshall of Huron and Anne Salerno and Stuart Smart of Lyons. The museum is located at 21 Butternut Street, Lyons. For more information, call 315.946.4943.
