Budget meeting, vote at Lyons Library

The Lyons Public Library Board of Trustees will present the library's proposed 2006-2007 budget on Monday, May 1 at 7 p.m. This meeting is open to the public.

The annual budget vote will be Tuesday, May 2 from noon to 8 at the library, at 67 Canal Street. Residents will also be electing one library trustee.

In order to be eligible to vote you must be at least 18 years old, have been a resident of the Lyons School District for 30 days prior to the vote, and be a United States citizen. A copy of the budget may be picked up at the library. Absentee ballots are available for people who are physically unable to come to the library to vote or who will be out of town the day of the vote.

Absentee ballots must be picked up by Monday, May 1 at the library and must be returned to the library by noon on Tuesday, May 2.
