Spring Shopping Fling next weekend

Friday, Saturday and Sunday May 5, 6 & 7

Spring has sprung so come join in the fun! 20 shops will be participating in this year's Spring Weekend Shopping Fling. All shops will be open from 10 to 5 each day offering refreshments and a free gift to all who visit them. Collect a stamp from each shop and enter to win one of the gift basket door prizes. Each gift basket is filled with a variety of items from the participating shops. It's lots of fun and a great way to find out what Wayne County has to offer!

Participating shops are:

AKS Jewelry is located on the corner of Main St. and Lake Ave in Wolcott. Owned by an actual bench Jeweler, you'll be pleasantly surprised at how affordable jewelry can be. Repairs are done on the premises. There's also imported gifts and custom novelty printing on mugs, charms, and mouse pads all in one building! Stop in any time, it's always fun to look around.

L&J Originals, 12060 East Main Street Wolcott is three beautiful rooms of Handmade Adirondack furniture (handcrafted by Larry Banas 'The Wizard of Wood' and other beautiful wood crafts by Jenny Banas), gifts, candles, Birdhouses, tables, Benches, Antiques, Folk Art, Primitives, and more! The Wizard of Wood is always there to greet you with a smile. Open 7 days a week 10 to 5.

Petal Pusher Florist, 12024 Main Street Wolcott is a shop that is not like your regular florist, and there's a large variety of gifts that you can choose from.

Orchard View Country Market, 10006 Ridge Rd. North Rose is a unique country market where you'll always find something different. Fresh local produce, plants and garden supplies. Amish-made indoor/outdoor furniture and lighthouses. Gifts, baked goods, ice cream and 'The Sticker Corner.' Open May through Dec.

Thorpe Vineyard, the Little Winery on the Great Lake, offers fine wines since 1988. Choose from classic European varieties to New World blends. Alton Antique Center is a multi-dealer antique and collectibles shop. There are dealer and collector supplies, as well. It's at the intersection of Rt. 14 and Old Ridge Rd. just north of Rt. 104.

Lukacs Pottery Studios, 7060 Route 14, Sodus Point is a working studio and gallery. Visitors are welcome to tour the studio and see how wheel-thrown pottery is made. The gallery features functional and sculptural stoneware pottery, including bowls, mugs, vases and unusual cat banks, night lights and decorative wall plaques and platters. Some of the most unique pieces are musical instruments: clay flutes, ocarinas and horns. Also other artists' jewelry, blown glass and candles. Open 10 to 6 Tuesday through Sunday.

Blueberry Knoll Country Gift Shop, 8137 Bayless Road, Sodus Point, (Just off Rte. 14) is open May through December. Featuring many handcrafted items, Salmon Falls Stoneware, Country Dolls and Bears, Handmade Pine Furniture and Home Accessories. Homegrown blueberries in season.
