Motorcycle run for Red Cross On Sunday, August 20 the Wayne County Chapter of the American Red Cross, with the help of Wal-Mart and the Wayne County Motorcycle Club, will host a 'Ride for the Red' Motorcycle Run. The event will start at Bee-Tee's Drive In, Rt. 31, Newark with registration between 10 a.m. and 12 noon. The run will conclude at Murray St. Station, 537 Murray St., Newark with a post-run party featuring a BBQ dinner, silent auction, raffles, music and more! The cost to participate in the event is $15 per bike and $5 for additional riders, which includes a BBQ dinner as well as raffle and door prizes. Free T-shirts will be given to the first 100 registrants! All proceeds benefit the Wayne County Local Disaster Relief Fund (LDRF). The LDRF is the fund which is used to support families and individuals that are victims of house fires and other natural disasters in Wayne County. With your support the Red Cross can provide temporary shelter, food, clothing, and mental health assistance to those in need.
