NR-W Valedictorian is college bound

Katherine 'Katie' Snyder, daughter of Joseph and Nancy Snyder of Shaker Tract Road, North Rose, will attend SUNY Binghamton in the Binghamton University Scholars Program.

She was the 2006 valedictorian at North Rose-Wolcott High School, president of National Honor Society, president of the Art Club, and class treasurer. She participated in cross country and track throughout her high school career. She was on the Principal's Honor Roll for each term of her four years in high school.

Katie received the Clarkson University Achievement Award, Binghamton University Honors Scholarship, New York State Board of Regents Academic Excellence Award, National Education Association of New York Scholarship, William O. and Irene M. Rolfe Scholarship, Bob Warren Memorial Art Scholarship, NRW Dollars for Scholars Scholarship, Hobart and William Smith Finger Lakes Scholar Award, Scholar Athlete Award, and the President's Award for Academic Excellence.

She has volunteered for the Church of the Epiphany Youth Group and has worked for the school district.
