Meet Aug. 21 to hear about long-term care insurance

Wayne County Department of Aging and Youth has added long-term care insurance counseling to the list of services. Employees are available to provide up-to-date, accurate, and unbiased information in both group and individual sessions regarding the many different types of long-term care insurance policies available in New York State.

The next session (at the Department of Aging and Youth, Health Services Building, 1519 Nye Road, Lyons) is Tuesday, August 22. Call today to register, 946.5624.

The cost of staying in a nursing home in New York can run $90,000 a year. Home care can be very expensive, too, and few people can afford these costs without using all their life savings.

Long-term care insurance allows you to protect your assets in the event you need long term care sometime in the future, just like you protect yourself with homeowners insurance and auto insurance.
