Newark museum continues summer hours

Summer hours continue at the Newark-Arcadia Historical Museum at 120 High Street.

Museum is open Wednesdays, 7-9 p.m. (through Sept.), and Saturdays, 1-3 p.m. (year-round). Admission is free.

The museum will also be open in conjunction with the Historic House Tour, Sept. 16, from 9 to 3 (where day-of-tour tickets will be sold).

Come and see Wheels, Wings or Water - To Grandmother's House We Go, on early transportation. The exhibit, covering four rooms, features artifacts and photographs from the Mora Motor Car Co. of Newark, and the Rochester, Syracuse & Eastern Railraod Co. (trolley), both celebrating 100th anniversaries this year. There are seven additional displays throughout the museum.

An added bonus is the Hoffman Clock Museum, located across the street inside the Newark Public Library.

For information, call 331.6409.
